well vacation hasn't been fun.

don't get me wrong...time off is great..except when you get sick....for days. going on day 5 of being sick with a temperature of 101.. ugh.  not to mention that, if you haven't heard about it yet, there was a huge snowstorm that came thru iowa and dumped...and i mean literally dumped 15 inches of snow on tuesday and wednesday...ONTOP of the 12 inches that we had gotten two days before that... yeah.. 2 feet of snow in 72 hrs just isn't cool.

anywho.. i don't even have the energy to keep ranting anymore.. i think i may just drive home tonight instead of waiting til tomorrow...cause i can't stand just laying on the couch and i miss emily and millie a really lot..

who knows, maybe a hot shower will help things. but i'll probably just leave tonight that way i have to relax tomorrow since i go back to work on sunday night...ugh!

NY Giants win the superbowl and Eli Manning is MVP... sweetness i guess since i really wasn't invested in it this year...

the superbowl party i went to was awesome. i won 13 bucks and had awesome food.  i know 13 bucks right, don't spend it all in one place..haha.  it was a good time tho. lots of friends and food is always a good combo.  the commercials this year basically sucked tho. it was pretty disappointing to see what they actually put out there this year for ads (and you paid how much for them, idiots!).  the e*trade baby commercials were by far the best ones this year. if you didn't see the commercials.. here are the links for those two ads.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oGjUNAas-o&feature=bz301 and the other one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdfvWAp5GUw&feature=related.

admist the the superbowl it started snowing... no biggie right. well it just kept snowing, hard. and then when we left at rach's apartment @ 915ish... it was basically a blizzard downtown. the wind was blowing hard and snow was stinging your face. thank god we could hang out in the lobby of a building and wait for the bus that came 30 mins later (oh yeah, we just missed the first one by seconds...damn you bus driver!) sooooo 45 mins later we get to kildare stop and it has obviously snowed a little more than in the city. when we left we had walked down cleared sidewalks, now we were trudging through 4-5 inches of snow on the sidewalks/roads. not fun. not to mention after i just dug my car out from the last 12 inches of snow we had had last thurs/fri.. now another 5...c'mon. its gettin ridiculous..seriously.. and now today its raining and they are predicting hail...WTF? anywho.. all is well i guess.  i leave to go back and visit more friends and family back in iowa.. looking forward to seeing my iowa city pals and enjoying and nice thursday night out in the IC... (iowa city thursdays are like saturdays... crazy..i know!)

anyways..day 4 of 10 days of vac...getting better, but still really bored since em has to work all week.  really looking to this coming weekend tho since we don't have anything going on and em and i are planning on hittin up Milwaukee on fri or saturday...yeah baby!!

MB20 rocked it!! 

Best concert i've seen in a while.  Sad they didn't play one of my favs (Damn is the name of the song...download it! trust me, you won't be disappointed!)  but they really came back strong from their nearly 5 year absence.  i would definitely like to see them again... we'll see though.

day two of 10 days of vacation....still kind of going crazy. atleast i get to party hardy tonight and not have to worry about work tomorrow. thats good!!!! ( i usually end not partyin too much cause of work...even on the weekends.. the troubles of retail i tell ya..haha) so hopefully tonight is killer.

can't wait to go back to visit friends next week in iowa.  really lookin forward to seein peeps i haven't seen in a while. if you are readin this, let me know where you'll be.. i'll try and stop by and see ya. i'll for sure be in ia city on thursday...(maybe weds if i can find somewhere to crash...maybe i'll just get a hotel..who knows..ahha)

anywho... MB20 rocks and you should all go see them..here are the tour dates ( www.matchboxtwenty.com )!! seriously you will not be disappointed at all!!!! (we saw them with alanis morisette and mutemath..alanis rocked as well, we didn't get there in time to listen to all of mutemath..but the last few songs we heard they weren't bad.)

haha..the title got ya going tho didn't it....

well, i guess this is the first post since i've moved to the great state of illinois and living in chi-town..

so far its good.  the only thing that really sucks for me is the driving/traffic aspect of it.  i live in the city (chicago) and drive out to the burbs to work 5 days a week.  On average, for me to drive to Lombard, aprox 25 miles away it takes me an hour and 15 mins.  keep it in mind, that the last few weeks i was in iowa i was driving about 80 miles in an hour..  so its really hard for me to justify this.. and the crazy drivers here...wow. i nearly have an accident because people cut you off or semi's try and run you into the median cause they're fucking idiots....

but other than that....i love it here. theres always something to do. places to go and people to see.  i do miss not having all of my friends from ia city here tho... like right now i'm sitting in my apt with just myself and millie...wish i had someone to hang with besides the neighbors..(who are actually pretty cool..)

anywho..hit up my cell if you wanna chat sometime...always an open ear..
